The Blacklist season 7 episode 5 spoilers: A journey to Cuba

The Blacklist season 7 episode 5 is going to be coming on November 1, and what we’re going to see in “Norman Devane” is a familiar locale: Cuba. Think about the history that it has with the show already, including its status as the place Liz at one point tried to flee to in an effort to start a new life. Things didn’t work out quite as intended there, and this time around, it’s going to be Reddington and Dembe who are paying the country a visit.

So what are the two characters looking to find there? What could they ultimately discover? Below, CarterMatt has the official The Blacklist season 7 episode 5 synopsis, which gives you at least a sense of their goal:

11/01/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : Liz and the Task Force investigate an infamous assassin who has a long history of weaponizing diseases, but has now turned to even more insidious activities. Meanwhile, Red and Dembe travel to Cuba in search of a lead, and Aram considers a new relationship. Elizabeth Bogush guest stars. TV-14 V

Whatever this lead is for Reddington and Dembe may be very much tied to what’s happening with the Townsend Directive and Katarina Rostova’s search for answers/information. She wants to save her life and, because of that, she may push Reddington to utilize some desperate measures. Reddington could easily be doing whatever he can to find an escape route for Katarina, if for no other reason than that he wants to ensure his own safety … let alone the safety of Liz. We don’t think that Katarina wants to kill them, but the more that she is around, the more danger that they’re in courtesy of some of the people who are coming after her. They seem to be the biggest threat out there, at least in terms of them still being a mysterious entity.
