Succession season 3 premiere date hopes for HBO drama
Let’s start things off with this news, in the event that you haven’t heard the news already — Succession is going to be coming up for another batch of episodes! This news was confirmed earlier this year, and for good reason. This is one of the network’s most-successful shows at this point, at least in terms of pop-culture attention. It started off somewhat under-the-radar, but since that time, it’s been able to carve out a really great audience for itself. It’s smart, cutthroat, and also at times ridiculously funny. It’s figured out a way to deliver all the goods to HBO, but in a way nobody initially expected.
So with the news of the renewal assured, we have no reason to think that we’ll be forced to wait until next summer to see more of the series. While there are some premium-cable series at this point in the television landscape (think Westworld or Game of Thrones) that have taken their time between seasons, they have a lot of other stuff on their plate. Think in terms of lengthy periods of post-production and high concepts. While there is a lot of ambition at the core of Succession, we don’t think that this is the sort of show that relies often on special effects.
In the end, we imagine that we’ll get some more news on Succession at some point in the spring. There’s no real reason to hurry things along, mostly because HBO should want both optimal promotion and audience as a whole for the series. We do think that there’s a chance that it is still on the upswing, and it will be getting bigger and bigger as time goes by.
Of course, entering season 3 one of the biggest questions that we have is simple — how long can this media empire stay afloat? What more troubles are awaiting the Roy family, who teeter at times on the incompetent and also insane?
