Blue Bloods season 10 episode 5 spoilers: ‘The Price You Pay’ challenges

Blue Bloods season 10

Blue Bloods season 10 episode 5 is an installment entitled “The Price You Pay,” and it seems to be one that features some new challenges. Also, it gives Eddie a chance to work alongside Erin after Jamie primarily did so for much of tonight’s episode! (It’s nice to see Eddie getting so many separate stories this season, almost like she is being treated as more of a core character in her own right.)

Of course, we do think that “The Prince You Pay” on the surface is also taking on a number of familiar Blue Bloods tropes — think along the lines of Frank dealing with difficult ethical dilemmas while Danny and Baez work to solve a celebrity-adjacent case. We have seen various on some of this before.

Check out the full Blue Bloods season 10 episode 5 synopsis for some more news:

“The Price You Pay” – Frank works to vindicate Detective Douglas McKenzie (Mike Carlsen), a detective accused of using excessive force. Also, Danny and Baez track down the killer responsible for the death of a rapper’s bodyguard; Jamie is skeptical about a relationship between Espinoza (Luis Antonio Ramos) and a new rookie officer, Sarah Brooks (Lily Brown); and Eddie goes undercover to help Erin investigate a mysterious cult, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Oct. 25 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Jamie relationship could be interesting, given that it could be looking in the rear-view mirror at himself. While the individual tics of Sarah and Espinoza’s relationship are probably different from his and Eddie’s, he knows what it’s like to be dealing with complicated NYPD rules while you also have feelings for someone else. He may be sympathetic towards whatever is going on with them, but then there’s that other part of him where he needs to act like a Sergeant.
