Outlander season 5: More info on the final scripts; recent photos
In a new post on Twitter yesterday, the show’s official Twitter shared the script pages for these episodes with a couple of things to note. As previously mentioned, the penultimate episode was written by none other than series author Diana Gabaldon. Meanwhile, the finale itself was penned by the one-two punch of Matthew B. Roberts and Toni Graphia. That’s no surprise, given that the two executive producers have really taken on the biggest episodes over the past couple of years. They balance out a number of big duties in terms of the writers’ room and production, and while Ronald D. Moore is still very much involved, he doesn’t write anywhere near as many episodes as he did in the early seasons.
Notice how secretive Outlander is being with some of their script pages in order to avoid spoilers — while most shows out there opt to give you information on both the episode’s title and also the director, they don’t choose to do so here. They like to keep titles in particular a secret, given that they are often tied in some way to specific elements of the narrative.
