Grey’s Anatomy (Owen & Amelia) vs. Blindspot (Jane & Weller) – ‘Shiptober poll

Shiptober

Welcome to ‘Shiptober 2019! Throughout the month of October, CarterMatt will be bringing you our annual tournament featuring some of best ‘ships in all of TV. What is a ‘ship? It is comprised of characters you want to see together romantically. Maybe they’re already together, or maybe they’ve never been together. It doesn’t matter. ‘Shipping is one of the most popular parts of any TV fandom, it’s super fun and this tournament is a celebration of that.

In this piece, we are moving on to the next phase of round 2 with two ‘ships that are veterans to this polling/article series at this point. We’ve got Owen & Amelia from Grey’s Anatomy, who made it extremely far into the tournament last year, facing off against the always-resilient Jane & Weller from Blindspot. We’re expecting this to be a fun showdown, and we are very much eager to see the results!

Voting Rules – Voting will be underway in the poll below from now until Saturday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Vote however often you’d like! (For more voting instructions or technical questions, check out the bottom of this article for answers.)

Be sure that you subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube — there are frequent video discussions there for many of the shows discussed in this tournament!

Owen & Amelia, Grey’s Anatomy (#1 seed) – These two have earned their #1 seed on the strength of their performance last year, and they are moving into the second round following a solid victory over Callen & Anna from NCIS: Los Angeles. The challenge moving forward now is a vast one, just as the challenge may also be enormous for Omelia on Grey’s Anatomy itself. The two have diverged insofar as their story paths go over the past year, and it remains to be seen if they will find their way back.

Jane & Weller, Blindspot (#4 seed) – With these two, there is a little bit less of a concern from a will they/won’t they standpoint. They seem to have figured out that they’re right for each other! The first order of business for them in 2020 is surviving the cliffhanger, and then from there it is making it back to America and living as free people. That’s not going to be easy, but we do think that these two can rely on each other (provided they survive) as they fight for their future. They’ve done it, and quite effectively, in the past.

Who do you want to see advance to the tournament proper? Be sure to vote below!

I can’t see the poll; what do I do? – If you are on mobile, scroll to the bottom of the page and click to view the non-AMP version. If that does not work, give the poll a moment to load! On some mobile browsers, it may take a moment.

How can I vote more than once? – If you are having trouble casting multiple votes, try switching your browser, your device, or visiting the page under private browsing or incognito mode. There should be many handy guides online explaining how to do so if interested.
