Could Better Call Saul’s Kim Wexler appear in El Camino? New theory

Better Call Saul season 4

Come tomorrow on Netflix, we’re going to have a chance to see something quite awesome in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Within this project, we’re going to have an opportunity to see the return of many characters from the original AMC series — but could we also see a familiar one from Better Call Saul, as well?

We have to admit that, for now, we’re very intrigued about the possibility of a Kim Wexler appearance. We still don’t know if she is alive or dead within the current timeline of the series, and on some level, her turning up could prove to be an homage to Better Call Saul. As far as we know, Jesse and Kim do not know each other, but maybe she helps him on some level with either a legal defense or an escape route. Also, it’s possible that this movie could set up a Kim – Gene reunion on Better Call Saul down the road. It wouldn’t be a huge part of the movie, but we think it’s possible that it could serve as a small sideplot.

While there may not be TOO much concrete evidence that this is transpiring at the moment, we do find the following quite curious: A video of many Breaking Bad cast members reacting to comments all about the El Camino trailer. Yet, in the midst of those Breaking Bad cast members, you also have Rhea Seehorn! What is she doing there? It may just be a fun nod from Netflix to Better Call Saul — after all, this series also streams on Netflix. Or, maybe it’s on some level a clue that Kim could be turning up in the movie … but wouldn’t this be a super-obvious clue from a universe that doesn’t have a tendency to be so open with sharing some of its secrets?

Given that El Camino premieres on Netflix tomorrow, you’re not going to be stuck thinking about this for some incredibly long period of time. It’s just some fascinating food for thought regardless.

Do you think that Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul could appear in El Camino?

Be sure to share right now in the comments, and come back soon for some other discussion. (Photo: AMC.)
