NCIS season 17: Maria Bello praises co-stars, crew in touching post

Maria Bello

Just in case you needed more evidence that Maria Bello is one of the loveliest people to work with inside the NCIS family, here it is!

In a new post on Instagram (see below), the actress does her best to praise a number of her different co-stars, producers, and crew members while also talking about how the CBS series has been able to stay on the air for so long. These are people who start filming in July and end in May, and along the way they sometimes work extremely long hours and at odd times of the night. While the money may be good, it’s not an easy job and it requires good people to be able to keep it going. Everyone in the photo below seems elated to be there and legitimately enjoys one another’s company. (We don’t think there is anything scandalous in David McCallum not being there — he’s not in every episode, so he’s not often around for some of the cast functions.)

This post does also sound very positive in terms of Bello’s own future on the show. She originally signed a three-season deal when she first signed on and while this post can’t be used as proof of anything, the fact that she enjoys this job does make us hopeful that she will consider being there for many years to come. She has a fantastic character in Jack Sloane, and that is independent of whether or not she and Gibbs end up being in a romantic relationship.

The next new episode of NCIS is set to air on CBS Tuesday night. If you want more details all about it, be sure to visit the link here!

Meanwhile, let us know in the comments how much you’ve enjoyed having Maria Bello as a part of the NCIS family, and if you would be more than thrilled to see her stick around for some time coming up. (Photo: CBS.)

This beautiful gang and I were talking about why @ncis_cbs is still the number one television drama after 17 seasons. What we surmised is this – we share the same values and those values start with Love. We all understand that we are part of a larger system. 250 people work tirelessly 10 and a half months a year to make this show what it is. And it’s incredible that they all still want to be here. Many of our crew have been here all 17 seasons. The group has journeyed through births and deaths and marriages and divorces. It’s afforded more than a thousand kids to go to college. And it never fails that everyday walking onto this set, there is a smile on everyone’s face. There is an acknowledgement from the caterers to producers to transpo guys to actors and all that we are on the same team. We are a family. We are in it together. You really see who your friends are when the s–t hits the fan. This crew – especially Frank Cardera, Mark Horowitz, Steve Binder, Mark Schilz, Charles Johnson, Rachel Good, Annie Cardera, Shasti Sharpe, Carla Dean and my cast – have had my back in a huge way the last couple of months and I am so grateful. Values in a family come from the top and seep into the fabric of a system. #markharmon is the top and his love and generosity inspire us all. Thank you to our fans for visiting our family every week. We are grateful to show up and give you our love. #whateverloveislove
