New Amsterdam season 2 episode 4 spoilers: The lead poisoning case

Next week, New Amsterdam season 2 episode 4 is bringing you a story that is entitled “The Denominator.” What can you expect? This is a chance for Iggy and Kapoor to help out someone in dire need but, in the process of doing that, they are going to find themselves in a place where they have to take on an enormous opponent. It’s one thing to conquer a number of smaller adversaries; it’s another altogether to take on New York City as a whole.

Below, CarterMatt has the official New Amsterdam season 2 episode 4 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up next:

10/15/2019 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : When Iggy and Kapoor discover a patient might be suffering from lead poisoning, they are forced to take on the city. Meanwhile, Max’s unsolicited attempts to help a patient backfires. TV-14 D, L, S

What we’re seeing, or at least feeling, through some of these details is a story all about helping people … even when they, at times, don’t ask for it. That means having to deal with something rather unexpected on the other side of it. We know that Max is trying to help a patient, but could he make them sicker and/or more miserable? We have to think that, at least at the moment, both of these options are currently on the table.

Meanwhile, the story from Iggy and Kapoor within this episode should prove to be a challenge just because of the fact that the city often doesn’t budge … and it could also be the sort of thing that should doom this man if things go awry. You don’t want to run the risk of opening up a massive can of worms that you can’t figure out how to close again.
