The Resident season 3 episode 4 preview: ‘Belief System’ & Halloween

Curious as to what’s coming in regards to The Resident season 3 episode 4? Next week, we’ve got a story coming in “Belief System.” What can you anticipate throughout that? Think in terms of a number of different cases, but then also Halloween. If you think back to last year, the show had a reasonably memorable episode themed around the holiday. The bar’s been set kind of high because of it.

So what will the show do for this Halloween episode? Some of the content may be somewhat thematic — we don’t think that it’s any coincidence that this episode will feature a “dead” patient coming back to life. There’s a certain amount of seasonal fun that goes along with that, but there are some larger stories at play here. One of the big ones is trying to get a better sense of precisely the relationship between Conrad and Devon. They are colleagues who are mostly fighting for the same thing (helping patients), but they often do have different methods and ways in which they want to go about telling this story.

When Devon’s patient, who was pronounced dead, suddenly revives, Conrad is left doubting Devon’s judgement and wondering what happened. A well-known white supremacist falls under the care of Cain and Nic, causing the two to butt heads on how to move forward. Meanwhile, on their way to a medical convention, The Raptor and Mina get stuck in a strange town, where they uncover new information about Red Rock Medical in the all-new “Belief System” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Tuesday, Oct. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. If you haven’t seen some of our other reports, there is a reason why The Resident is giving us this episode at this particular spot, rather than later this month. Because of the World Series, there is at least a good chance that the series is going to be off the air for a bit.
