The Resident season 3: Is a World Series hiatus coming?
What we know at the moment is more or less this: There are going to be at least two more episodes airing on Fox this fall. We’ve got one coming on Tuesday, and then there is another one coming on October 15. That one is going to be themed around Halloween, and if you’re wondering as to why it is airing so early on in the year, we do have a little bit more insight on that right now.
If you did not know already, Fox sends much of the second half of October airing programming that is themed, in one way or another, around the World Series. It brings them pretty solid ratings and because of that, they try to plan out the majority of their schedule around that. For sure, there will be no new episode of The Resident coming up on October 22 … and there may not be a new episode after that on October 29, either. That will be a little bit more dependent on whether or not there is a game 7 of the World Series, and it’s something to be mindful of over the course of the next several weeks. Even if you’re not a baseball fan, you now have an excuse to watch the World Series!
Just in case you are wondering if there is a silver lining to getting an early hiatus on The Resident season 3, we imagine that it’s this — you’ll be getting a chance in order to see ore episodes down the road. The show has the same episode order as always, and it may air more of its episodes in the winter in order to compensate for its absence on the fall schedule for a couple of weeks.
