NCIS season 17: Is the cast in the dark on Ziva’s storyline?
As a matter of fact, not everyone was altogether in-the-know about Ziva’s return when it happened last year. Speaking in a new interview with Digital Spy, for example, Diona Reasonover confirmed that she was one of the last to know about Ziva coming back — heck, some viewers watching the finale on the East Coast last year found out about the story before her! Reasonover also points out that she knows equally little bout Cote de Pablo’s remaining two episodes this season, and whether or not it could turn into something more:
“They don’t tell me nothing! … This is one of those where I don’t know when the character’s coming back or what the storyline will be.
“Would I love to hang out with Cote more because she’s very cool? Yes, I would love that. Do I know if it’s going to happen? I have no clue.”

Reasonover being out of the loop on many upcoming twists isn’t something that is exclusive to her — there are a LOT of cast members across all shows who don’t know what’s coming in their stories until the last minute. They have to sort of go with the flow, and we know that for some actors, this is preferred — it allows them to better stay within the world of the story that they’re trying to tell. They can see more through the eyes of their characters.
We know that Cote’s next episode as Ziva will air at some point before the end of the year; as for what the story will contain now that Sahar is dead, we hope that we’ll learn more in the weeks to come. For now, just be sure to check out the link here to read more about Tuesday’s episode, and let us know more in the comments what more you want to see from Ziva!
Of course, stick around for all sorts of NCIS and Ziva news.
