Outlander star Sam Heughan teases Clan Lands start date

Outlander season 4

We know that the past few days have been rather busy when it comes to Outlander, and it is due mostly to New York Comic-Con! This weekend, Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Duncan Luacroix, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and David Berry were present alongside Diana Gabaldon, Maril Davis, and Ronald D. Moore to preview what’s coming up next.

While Outlander will be bringing some great material to the table in 2020, it’s not the only awesome thing that Sam is up to when the new year rolls around. We’ve written a little bit already about his upcoming show/podcast Clan Lands alongside Graham McTavish, and Heughan wrote a little bit more about in the Instagram post below … alongside a really fun photo of himself alongside McTavish.

Is it smart for Sam and Graham to launch Clan Lands in the new year? We think so, since it feels like the perfect cross-promotional platform possible. Think about it — Sam will get a lot of attention for the fifth season of Outlander (even more than he does usually), and that is a great launching pad for his own product. That’s to go along with the fact that there is some other stuff coming out for Sam, including his movie Bloodshot.

So what makes Clan Lands so special? This is going to be a chance to explore the history of Scotland in a way that we have not seen before. There will be humor, but also insight and culture — this could end up being the perfect window into this world from people who have grown up loving the place. We’re sure that more specific previews are coming — at least over the next few months.

What do you want to see when it comes to Outlander season 5?

Do you have any particular expectations for what’s next? Be sure to share right now in the comments below, and remember to stick around for some other news.
