The Rookie season 2 episode 3: Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever to appear
Just in case you wanted a good sense of what’s coming on The Rookie season 2 episode 3, there’s going to be a Castle reunion! Nathan Fillion is obviously the show’s leading man, but on the upcoming October 13 installment, you’re going to see him joined by a couple of familiar faces in Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever. These two played the fantastic Ryan and Esposito on the crime show for so many years and this time around, we imagine that there will be a rather-different sort of role for them.
(Let’s be thankful that Huertas had a chance to do this show, given that he’s a major part of another show out there already in This Is Us, where he plays the ever-polarizing Miguel.)

“The Bet” – Officer Nolan navigates building tension in his relationship with Jessica and a developing rapport with Grace while working a high-stakes criminal case involving an undercover homeland security agent. Meanwhile, Officer Chen meddles with Officer Bradford’s love life, and Officer Lopez learns some surprising news about Wesley, on “The Rookie,” airing SUNDAY, OCT. 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (TV-14, V) Episodes can also be viewed on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.
We’re going to be working within this episode to see Nolan, primarily, work to navigate a new place for himself in his life. He’s dealing at the moment with a wide array of new twists and stakes that go along with him moving further along in his training, and we’re sure that there are some roadblocks that he’ll be facing off against. Will he overcome them? Probably, given that we don’t particularly think of The Rookie as a show meant to be altogether depressing. In the end, we do imagine that there are meant to be some positive vibes here.
