Outlander season 5 filming: Caitriona Balfe, others hit the beach!
In a new post on her Instagram Stories, Caitriona Balfe recently confirmed that her and some other cast and crew members had ventured out to a different part of Scotland for some filming — here’s your reminder that a beach in Scotland in late September is probably far less appealing climate-wise than one in our neck of the woods in California. Maybe not in terms of physical beauty, but likely in terms of temperature. Everything we’ve seen on social media already suggests that there are some beautiful sights that the cast and crew ran into — we especially love the post that Richard Rankin created. (See below.) Given how much Rankin is into photography, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s created something fantastic here.
The footage captured on the beach is another reminder that for the upcoming batch of episodes, the Outlander cast and crew are still doing what they can in order to capture a true diversity of terrain. It’s also what best suits the story of The Fiery Cross. The challenge will continually be finding places that serve as recreations for much of North Carolina but, in one way or another, we’ve seen the team already find some ways to figure this out. So long as they continue to do this, we feel like we’ll all be rather happy in the end.
Based on the photos and everything else that we’ve seen already, we’re more excited than ever for what’s coming around the bend.
