Lucifer season 5 episode 3 title tease: A devil of another name
In a post on Twitter (see below), the show’s official writers’ room confirmed that “¡Diablo!” is the title for the upcoming episode. This is another name for Lucifer, so in a lot of ways, it feels like the storytellers here are leaning on the title character more than ever! think about it — episode 2 was simply titled “Lucifer! Lucifer! Lucifer!” and this is almost that in a slightly different season.
As we move further and further along into this third season, we almost wonder if Lucifer is going to keep coming up with new ways in order to say Lucifer’s name. Or, maybe they’ll just keep having fun — isn’t that always the priority here? We are speaking here about a show that had an episode previously titled “Orgy Pants to Work” and we do like to think that this is a nice microcosm for what the show’s sense of humor is.

For the time being, it may be best for Lucifer to use such vague titles given the fact that there is such a long time to go until season 5 premieres (think 2020) and they don’t want these titles to give all that much away. Keeping things a little ambiguous is a great way to preserve mystery and give us room for speculation. Take, for example, this — could we actually see a story coming up where Lucifer ends up becoming some sort of luchador? Or, is this going to be a story about an imposter posing as the devil? With this show, we really do think that the sky is the limit insofar as possibilities go.
There are sixteen episodes overall in the fifth and final season of Lucifer — because of that, this means that there are still 13 episodes that we need to learn the title for!
