Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 2 preview: Blindside aftermath!

Survivor: Island of the Idols

Want to know some of what’s coming on Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 2? We know the twist now; what’s left is the gameplay.

What we saw tonight was a fascinating debate at the Lairo camp all about who should survive the first Tribal Council. Elizabeth went to the Island of the Idols, but in the process of that lost her vote. (She also lied about what was really there.) She took some risks and lost, and then at Tribal there was questions aplenty about whether or not Elaine was too likable for her own good. In the end, though, Ronnie was the person voted off at the end of the episode, a move that was made largely for the sake of him being perhaps too shift. Trust and likability did win out here over the idea of just getting rid of someone who is sort of the typical first episode boot. Does this set the stage for a fun season?

If nothing else, it does give us Survivor: Cagayan vibes when Garrett was sent out fairly early on within the game.

Based on the promo for what we saw next time around, it appears as though we’re going to see the aftermath of the big Ronnie blindside — there are going to be some people unhappy with the move, and that’s putting it mildly! Meanwhile, on the other tribe, you’re going to see a lot of emotional people. It’s always hard for people in the early part of the game to get their bearings!
