Following tonight’s premiere, where is the story going to go moving into All Rise episode 2 over on CBS? The premiere gave you a good sense of the show’s DNA but, moving forward, we’ll get a chance to see more of what this story is all about.
What are some of our expectations for this show? From here on out, we’re imagining that this series is going to try and create an accurate portrayal of being within an actual courtroom — plus, there’s something that could be exciting about seeing more of this from the perspective of the judge. That just isn’t something that we get all that much of most of the time on these shows! Typically, these characters end up being adversaries to some other people in the cast … so how will it be different here?
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official All Rise episode 2 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up:
“Long Day’s Journey into ICE” – When an ICE agent pursues a defendant in Lola’s courtroom, she must fend him off while determining the appropriate sentence for the offender, an undocumented immigrant, whose crime was warning people of a grocery store selling spoiled goods, on ALL RISE, Monday, Sept. 30 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
We do think that one of the biggest things that All Rise will work to focus on is real issues that are going on in the real world. Take, for example, an ICE agent trying to bring in an undocumented immigrant. This is someone who was brought in on a “crime” when in reality, all he was trying to do was help people who were about to get sick. This is his consequence, but the consequences could still be so much worse.
To go along with what is coming up story-wise, there are some other questions worth thinking about right now — including whether or not All Rise will get much of a rise from the CBS audience. Will this prove to be there next great hit, or is it more set to fade into the background?
