This Is Us season 4: Mandy Moore on all of Rebecca’s stories ahead

In a new video over at TheWrap, Mandy Moore goes through a lot of the different areas that the show may explore through season 4. Take, for example, getting to see more of Jack and Rebecca’s courtship and the path that led to the two of them getting married. We know in basic terms how the two characters tied the knot, but there is still a lot of the time before this that is fairly scarce and worthy of some greater exploration. Beyond just that, there is also a chance to dive a little bit more into the lives of the Big Three when they are three or four years old — this is a time that hasn’t been fully explored on the show before, and through that, you can see their child-like enthusiasm and also how Jack and Rebecca, as parents, handle the responsibility of caring for so many kids all at one time when they are right around the same age.
Then, there’s also the Miguel of at all. While Moore admits that she and the cast offer up plenty of jokes about Rebecca’s later relationship on set, she also defends the romance by saying that the two of them were just lonely people looking for something to cling to a little bit later in life. With that, they were able to find some sort of peace and solace within each other. As for what happens to Miguel within that flash-forward timeline, though (he’s not present for it), we’ll have to wait and see on that.
