Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 16 (finale) spoilers: Wedding time?

Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 7

Ready for Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 16? This is the last episode of the season, and it could be a big stepping point for what’s next. You’ve got the convoy heading towards what could be their new home, a place that they can feel a little more settled. Meanwhile, there could also be a wedding!

At the end of tonight’s episode, we learned that John wanted to marry June soon after the group made it back to the Gulch. He was already doing what he could to prepare for it, including asking the Rabbi to be the officiant. Unfortunately, there is another problem that the group is facing: The fact that the Gulch is seemingly overrun by walkers. They thought that they had reached their salvation, only to then realize that they had another problem. They’re going to have to take care of this problem and then, at that point, plan towards a wedding or something else.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the full Fear the Walking Dead season 5 finale synopsis with more news on what’s ahead:

Facing an unknown future, Morgan leads the group on a mission; Al puts the pieces together; John and June make a promise.

Dealing with this new threat is going to be hard — very hard. There are characters who seem ready and willing to give up. Dwight, meanwhile, seemed to depart. The episode concluded tonight with Morgan making the call to Virginia, thinking that there was no other choice to get everyone through what happened. Does the group really need her? In that moment, they felt like it — but if they can find a way to clear up the Gulch themselves, they may realize that they got through it on their own and that is so much more powerful than they previously imagined.

Unfortunately, there’s no walking back that walkie-talkie call to Ginny in that closing moment. Because of that, you have to think that John and June could have a most-unwelcome guest (or two or three) while they’re doing their presumed nuptials.
