This Is Us season 4: Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, more tease what’s next
If you look at what we’ve got below, you can see cast members Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Chris Sullivan do their best to set the stage for an emotional season of change. Each one of them has their own major story to tell, and a surprise or two to hand down at the same time.

So what’s the mystery we are the most intrigued about at the moment? It’s probably the status of Kate in the future, given that season 3 ended with us getting a chance to see some of the Pearsons back together in a flash-forward. In the process of doing that though, we also never had a chance to see Metz’s character there. With that, we’re worried about her fate, but then also some other questions including how Nicky and Rebecca grew close, what happened to Miguel over the course of his own future, and then also who is the mother of Kevin’s son. There are a lot of open-ended questions and maybe the show will hand down some answers … eventually.
Before we get to those answers, there are some things in the present and past to address. The first episode back is going to feature Randall and Beth moving their family and starting a new chapter, and a more convenient life. Meanwhile, Toby and Kate are embarking on a new journey as parents, and then Jack in the past will have a chance to meet Rebecca’s parents. If you’ve watched a good bit of This Is Us over the years, then you may be familiar already with the idea of how nothing goes according to plan. You can go ahead and say the same thing here.
