Emmys 2019: Where to watch, live stream red carpet pre-show
Before we get into the red carpet show, here are a few things worth noting — the Emmys themselves start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time on Fox, and there is not an official live stream for that unless you are a subscriber or have a cable package. (Be wary of any unauthorized streams that are out there, since they can prove harmful.)
Let’s get to the red carpet pre-show, there are plenty of ways in order to watch that! Let’s start with all the live streamers out there. The presentation online is going to begin at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time or 3:00 p.m. Pacific, and you can see that by heading over to People Magazine. Their red-carpet pre-show is being put on in conjunction with Entertainment Weekly, and you’ll see a number of Hollywood’s big stars walking down the red carpet for that grand occasion.
If you’ve got a cable subscription and you’d prefer to watch the red carpet pre-show online, you can do that starting at 3:00 p.m. Pacific / 6:00 Eastern over on E!. Giuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest are going to be there on the big occasion, interviewing stars and preparing you for one of television’s biggest nights. Much like the Oscars before them earlier this year, the Emmys are moving forward without a host. This is going to be more about creating a great atmosphere for the awards and allowing everyone to be comfortable and have a great time.
Entering tonight, we would say that the big favorites include the final season of Game of Thrones for a wide array of different categories, and then also some other shows to go along with it including Veep and then possibly Fleabag. The Emmys don’t often deliver too many surprises when it comes to the awards; with that in mind, you have to find that kind of joy elsewhere. Take, for example, getting a chance in order to see memorable speeches and pop-culture moments.
