You see him standing behind his surgical tools, and the message of “his mind is a mystery, his methods are a miracle.” What is this a reminder of? Think mostly in terms of his skill set! Shaun is a brilliant doctor and we’ve seen reminders of this at just about every turn. He’s able to think of solutions on the fly that no one else can — he thinks differently, and that is probably why the network emphasizes that his “mind is a mystery” in the way in which that they do.

When season 3 of The Good Doctor picks up, you will have a chance to watch Freddie Highmore’s character do everything that he can to pick up some of the slack following the end of season 2. What that means is that you’ll end up seeing him working his first date with Carly goes off without a hitch. From there, you will also have an opportunity in order to see what happens when it comes to his job as a surgeon. He got his job back, but what sort of residue — if any — comes from what happened with Dr. Jackson Han at the end of season 2? We think he will pick up where he left off, but remember this: Not everyone is going to respect Shaun’s methods. He may be aware of that already, but it could take some sort of time in order for others to respect him … or understand him.
Shaun is flawed; yet, he wants the best for himself and his patients. These are the components that make him one of the best people in all of television to watch.
