SWAT season 3 episode 2 spoilers: Bad time for an inquiry

While there are some elements of SWAT season 3 that are going to be similar to what we’ve seen in past years, there is also one thing rather different: The presence of Detective Lieutenant Piper Lynch. Amy Farrington is playing this character and what we know about her is that she’s going to clash here and there with Hondo and some of the various members of his team.

Within SWAT season 3 episode 2, we’re going to see Lynch become a very particular thorn in Hondo’s side. Why is that? Think along the lines of some of her actions getting in the way of what is going to be an important, critical mission.

Below, CarterMatt offered up the official SWAT season 3 episode 2 synopsis with some other news as to what’s coming up:

“Bad Faith” – Lt. Lynch pulls the SWAT team’s focus when the mayor tasks her with enacting a departmental review of the squad right as they pursue the unstable and dangerous fugitive leader of an infamous doomsday cult. Meanwhile, Luca asks the team to invest in his new passion project, a Guatemalan food truck, on S.W.A.T., Wednesday, Oct. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

If there’s one thing that we know from watching a wide array of cop-related shows over the years, it’s this — there is nothing that agitates a force quite like finding themselves interrupted for administrative reasons. This could set up some problems down the road — or in the end, maybe it will set up a stronger partnership. Sometimes, a new character takes some time in order to establish trust — she doesn’t know that Hondo and the team are the heroes that we know them to be! She’s got a different perspective, and through much of this upcoming episode, we imagine that we’ll see that perspective come into conflict with a wide array of other forces.

Consider season 3 episode 2 still a foundation. After all, we’re more than confident that there are going to be some exciting stories coming up as we push deeper into the season overall!
