Power season 6 episode 5 spoilers: More ‘King’s Gambit’ details

Power season 6 episode 5 is arriving onto Starz this weekend, and we think it goes without saying that it’s big. At this point, every single episode is big. They are all bringing so many super-dramatic events to the table as characters run the risk of confronting their demons … or even having some sort of a metaphorical dance with death.

Before diving too deep into anything right now, CarterMatt has the official Power season 6 episode 5 synopsis with more scoop as to what’s ahead:

Tasha revisits old habits when she begins to recruit soldiers for her new empire; Tariq pulls a ruse on Vincent; Proctor warns Tommy about a snitch; Ghost plans to take care of the snitch on his own terms.

The more that we read some of these details, the clearer it becomes that some of these characters are going to be in for a rough time within this episode, whereas some others are going to struggle when it comes to moving away from some of their demons. No matter how much either Ghost or Tasha may claim that they want to escape “the life,” it does have that oh-so-nasty habit of drawing them back in. They’re immersed in it and through this episode, the two of them may determine more how hard it is for them to escape.

Before the end of this episode, we expect that Tariq is going to get a better sense of just how stable his empire truly is … even you can even call it an empire. Meanwhile, you’re going to see if Proctor can free himself from the mess that he’s created. Has he done whatever he can in order to ensure that he gets full custody? Sure, but he’s recognized along the way that there is a defined cost that goes along with that. This is something he’ll be contending with coming up.
