Good Trouble spoilers: Noah Centineo, more returning for holiday special
According to a new report from TVLine, a number of your favorites from the original Freeform series, including Sherri Saum (Lena), Teri Polo (Stef), Noah Centineo (Jesus), Hayden Byerly (Jude), and David Lambert (Brandon), will be appearing on the upcoming event airing later this year. Not only that, but some extended members of the greater Fosters/Good Trouble universe will also be present. Take, for example, Brandon’s wife Eliza and much of her family — and that includes an appearance from Beau Mirchoff as Jamie. That character has already appeared on Good Trouble as a Callie love interest through the first couple of seasons.
In a statement about this big family affair, show executive producer Joanna Johnson had the following to say:
“Look who’s coming to town. It’s not Santa, but our beloved Adams Foster family will be bringing plenty of cheer,” co-creator Joanna Johnson tells TVLine. “Tune in to see who’s been naughty or nice and for all the drama and hijinks of a Foster family/Coterie holiday mashup!”
This is most likely the big challenge of the upcoming special: Trying to tell a story that works for both Good Trouble and The Fosters, while making sure every single character has a moment or two in the sun. Just think about it this way: There are a LOT of characters that this event has to represent and a lot of metaphorical mouths to feed! With that being said, it’s clearly a testament to the original show and the love that these cast members have for each other that they continue to want to appear. Centineo, for example, has become more of a household name after The Fosters thanks to his work in some Netflix movies.
Following the holiday special, Good Trouble will return to close out its second season in 2020. You can read a little more news about that and what’s to come over here. Here’s to hoping for some great episodes coming up!
