Who won America’s Got Talent 2019? In this article, we’ll go through the remaining acts, including V.Unbeatable, Kodi Lee, and more.
Let’s start things off here by naming the top five acts: Detroit Youth Choir, Voices of Service, Kodi Lee, Ryan Niemiller, and V.Unbeatable. When you think about this group, it’s clear that there were few surprises. Ryan, however, was somewhat of a shock given that he needed a Dunkin’ Save to make it to this point. We had thought that Tyler Butler-Figueroa would be in this place, but this sort of finish should help Ryan get a little more success down the road … and also maybe sell more tour dates.
We still don’t wanna get anything twisted here, though — in the end, we do think that this is a competition where V.Unbeatable and Kodi Lee are the top two contenders by a mile. We don’t even think that anyone is altogether close when it comes to consistency and talent.
But … our thinking can be sometimes wrong. V.Unbeatable finished FOURTH. Meanwhile, Voices of Service were in fifth place — that wasn’t a surprise. Ryan Niemiller finishing third? Not a surprise since he wasn’t going to win — comedians never will.
With Ryan’s elimination, this left us with a final two of Kodi Lee versus Detroit Youth Choir — we didn’t think the latter would do this well, mostly because their performance was so similar in the finale as it was to their first audition. We’ll always prefer something fresh to close out the run as a way to further challenge someone.
No matter how good the Detroit Youth Choir was, though, we felt like this was written in the stars for a long time: Kodi Lee was going to win America’s Got Talent. Most of the audience wanted him to get the prize and the voting public responded in turn. He is your champion for the 2019 season!
