Is The Hills: New Beginnings new tonight on MTV? Looking ahead
While we got a TON of content last week on the series, the bad news that we’ve got at the moment is this: We don’t have any more content tonight. Last week was, in fact, the big finale, meaning that we’re going to be left waiting for months on end until the second season of the show comes on the air. What can we expect over the course of that? Think in terms of more drama (of course), but also important changes in the lives of some of the show’s cast members.
Because the new season is still so far away, though, we don’t have all that much in the way of new footage to hand out yet. Instead, to help tide you over, we do have a deleted scene below from last week’s finale! It’s true that even though the most-recent episode of The Hills: New Beginnings was two hours long, there was still some footage that (somehow) didn’t end up making it into the show. You get a chance in here to see Spencer planning out a big surprise for Heidi. It’s a nice moment for the two of them in a sea of big moments through the first season leading up to this ceremony.
If we were MTV, our plan for season 2 would be rather simple: Make as many new episodes as possible. While it’s definitely clear at the moment that the new version of the show isn’t going to be a runaway hit for them, it’s delivered some solid numbers and it has some viability to go on a long period of time. The more new episodes that the show decides to give us, the better off and more immersive that this world is going to feel. That’s one of the reasons why shows like Jersey Shore and Floribama Shore work as well as they do. You have a lot of time in order to live in this world.
