This Is Us season 4 cast opens up about twists, emotional stories
In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, and the rest of the core cast set the stage for some of what’s coming up — including what is going to feel like a “new story.” Defying expectations feels like it’s going to be a huge part of some of what’s coming up. You think you know where the story is going but you’re going to see things veer off in another direction. There are mysteries aplenty ahead — think in terms of what’s going on with Nicky in the future, whether or not Kate makes it to Rebecca’s flash-forward bedside, and also who Jennifer Morrison is going to be playing?
One person can change lives. One event can shatter futures. One episode of This Is Us can make you tear up into a puddle on the floor. We hesitate to say that this is the biggest season yet, but it could at least match the greatness of everything that we’ve had a chance to see to date. For now, there isn’t anything more that we could ask for when it comes to this series overall.
What we can tell you about the premiere episode is that it’s going to pick up with these characters experiencing a degree of transition. For example, Randall and Beth are moving over to Philadelphia, where they are interested in starting some sort of new life for themselves. Meanwhile, Toby and Kate are getting used to being new parents and the various highs and lows that go along with that. Kevin’s reeling from his latest breakup and for Jack and Rebecca, we’re going to be seeing the show explore an early part of their relationship, right when they are starting to get serious. He will be meeting Rebecca’s parents, and as is often the case in this sort of situation, things don’t always go perfectly. There are some roadblocks and hurdles that will need to be conquered.
Rest assured that some of the biggest twists for This Is Us season 4, though, are ultimately some of the ones that are impossible to predict.
