Survivor: Island of the Idols cast revealed; more about new twist (video)

Survivor: Island of the Idols

Survivor: Island of the Idols is premiering on CBS two weeks from Wednesday, and after a long wait, today the network finally unveiled the full cast!

So what do we take away from this group? For starters, we would say that this may be one of the more diverse groups that we’ve seen for the show in some time. You’ve got an interesting array of people from all walks of life, including a lot of people who seem to be ready and eager to play. This is where Boston Rob and Sandra Diaz-Twine come into play. These two are going to serve as mentors on the “Island of the Idols,” a place where they help the contestants but also put them through tests that could allow them to get advantages within the game. We’re not sure how this twist will work long-term, but the two (alongside Jeff Probst) explain it in the video. Probst also notes that he is not telling the contestants in advance what is going on, so they’re going to end up figuring things out here for themselves.

Without further ado, check out all of the cast below alongside their occupations and where they’re from.
