Better Call Saul season 5: Bob Odenkirk celebrates end of filming

Better Call Saul season 5

We recently learned that Better Call Saul season 5 filming was over for series regular Giancarlo Esposito. Now, it seems like we could say the same for much of the cast.

In a new post on Twitter, star Bob Odenkirk confirmed the wrap party took place this weekend — not only that, but he shared a photo alongside himself and many other familiar faces — including Jonathan Banks (Mike), Rhea Seehorn (Kim), Michael Mando (Nacho), and more. This is a cast that does become very close over the time in which they film, and we can’t say that we’re altogether shocked by it. Just think about it for a moment — Better Call Saul shoots in New Mexico, which is a little off the beaten path even if it has become more of a production hotspot as of late. Many of the actors who film there aren’t from there, so they can’t just hang with family or their typical friends on their day off. Instead, they bond together! They spend time hanging out with one another and working to enjoy each other’s company. It helps to create all the more of a good environment for work.

Also, go ahead and add to this the fact that people like Esposito, Banks, and of course Odenkirk all worked on Breaking Bad together — as did executive producers Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan. This is a labor of love for so many of them at this point; otherwise, there is zero reason for them to keep coming back.

While technically, there is no news on a Better Call Saul season 6 at the moment, we remain more than confident that everyone will be coming back for more. While season 6 could very well be the end, we’re confident there’s at least one more kick at the metaphorical can for these people coming up.
