It only took them six days, but finally, “The X Factor” on Tuesday night had an opportunity to actually air the full results that we did not end up seeing last week. You probably saw some of this in our spoilers based on the Canadian broadcast for the show earlier this week, but there were a few decisions at the very end here that were still new for us.
Since we have covered so much of this pretty extensively already, we really are not going to spend too much time talking about the individual artists to make it through save for a few assorted impressions based on the contestants’ future chances.
Demi Lovato’s picks
Willie Jones – He’s a likable country guy, but we don’t know if he has it to win.
Jennel Garcia – She’s an awesome rocker, and we still feel that her odds are good.
Paige Thomas – Considering that she was the first good audition we saw all season long, it was almost a lock that she would be advancing.
CeCe Frey – As you knew already from our spoilers, CeCe (who went without leopard print for the first time this season) advanced, and Jillian Jensen went home despite her emotional story. There were tears all around, but that didn’t keep this from being the biggest stunner of the night.
Simon Cowell’s picks
Emblem3 – These guys are going to rock their way deep into this season … and we wonder how long that guy is going to stay shirtless in the process.
Lyric 145 – We don’t know how they will fare live, but we love their style, their rhymes, and their swagger.
Sister C – One of the only two unspoiled decisions, this one was a little surprising based largely on Simon’s claims that they were a little bit standoffish.
Lylas – Rather than trying to put through the boy band Playback, Simon made the right decision here and kept the girl group together on the strength of their pretty awesome vocals
