Power season 6 episode 3 spoilers: The Ghost – Tariq tension grows

Entering Power season 6 episode 3, we knew that there was going to be tension between Ghost and Tariq. We just didn’t know how rapidly it was going to spread.

Coming into tomorrow’s new episode, what we can go ahead and tell you now is that James St. Patrick is going to have a hard time reconciling the fact that his son may have known the truth about Tommy being alive, and chose to just not tell him. Tariq has loyalty to Tommy — he’s been a part of his family for most of his life, and there’s also the added fact that he feels like Tommy has been, by and large, more loyal to him than his own father has. That is a big component to how he’s feeling and thinking right now.

In a new sneak peek (which you can see over at the link here), Ghost confronts his son about what he knows — while he isn’t 100% sure that Tariq knew the truth about what was going on here, it’s clear that he was at least reasonably aware. That’s enough to set off a number of alarms for him that his own son doesn’t have his back. He makes it clear to Tariq that the longer he keeps things from him, the less that he can trust them.

While we wouldn’t say that Tariq is 100% agreeable on the other side of hearing this, he at least acknowledges some of what his dad says. From there, the two of them move on and that’s the end of it … or is it? Remember here that Tariq is likely just telling dear ol’ dad whatever he wants to hear and that he probably doesn’t mean much of anything he’s saying. We’d ultimately say entering episode 3 that the problems between Ghost and Tariq are far from over; in fact, we may very well be at the beginning of it all still.
