Is Queen of the South new tonight on USA? Within this article, we’ll take a look on that question — but also look our way towards the future.

Let’s start things off here by going ahead and getting the rather-sad news out of the way: There is no new episode tonight on the network and, unfortunately, we’re done for the season. Last week served as the finale, and we do think that the story left off on some pretty interesting notes. We don’t know quite how else to describe an ending that featured the return of James! He is such a part of this show and Teresa’s legacy, and of course there is a lot of excitement that comes with having the two of them back as a part of the world again.

Now that we know where things stand with the story of Queen of the South, we move forward now to what is the next order of business — waiting. Unfortunately, it’s going to be a pretty long wait. Odds are, you’ll be stuck wondering what is coming up from now until we get around to next spring, which is when we expect the first details on the new season to come out. The season will premiere in the summer, more than likely, and throw that we’re going to have a chance to see more than just James. Think in terms of the further construction of Teresa’s empire as she starts to find herself more and more success. With that comes power, and with power comes danger. She may have more reasons to showcase her power than before … but she’ll have to look over her shoulder constantly.

Let’s hope that over the course of the next few months, we start to get a little bit more news when it comes to guest casting — we’d love to see a new adversary turn up, someone who is maniacal and scheming and capable of almost anything. With every season comes more challenging, and we’re hoping that this upcoming batch of episodes gives this character a little bit more danger than ever before.
