MasterChef season 10 episode 23 preview: Final four at Hatfield House
For starters, think about the setting — Hatfield House. It has ties to past English Monarchs, it is beautiful to behold, and then there’s also Nigella Lawson there as a guest. When you compile all of this up, the intimidation factor is on another level. One wrong move sends you home right before the finale … and this is the last thing we’d want if we were on this show. It’s great to be on the show for as long as these home cooks have, but you do run into near-constant risks as a result of that.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the full MasterChef season 10 episode 23 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up in this episode:
The top four chefs travel to the historic Hatfield House, where they must cook for British cooking royalty, Nigella Lawson; the chefs must cook a venison dish, but the judges throw a surprise twist at them, forcing them to think quickly.
Thinking quickly is a part of being a chef, so why not have it happen here? We like to think of the competition in this way — a MasterChef should be able to walk into a kitchen and take on whatever challenge is thrown at them. Maybe it’s to find a way to cook a well-executed five-course meal. Or, maybe it’s baking a perfect cake or just reinventing a classic local dish. They need to be creative, just as they also need to show a lot of different techniques. They should also be excited about some of these changes, given that a MasterChef should be up for any challenge.
Buckle up — these final episodes of the season are going to be well worth the ride.
