The Veto Ceremony has officially come and gone within the Big Brother 21 house, and we gotta admit that it came and went rather quietly! Because the houseguests are so used to being in the game at this point, they handle these events like nobody’s business.
So what did we see at the Ceremony today? It’s basically what you could have predicted — Veto winner Tommy removed Christie from the block, meaning that we’ve now got a situation where replacement nominee Cliff is facing off against Jessica. One of the two of them will leave, with Jess being the likely choice. Just think for a moment here about the numbers — Nicole and Holly are going to keep Cliff, and so long as that doesn’t change and Jackson breaks the tie, he stays and Jess goes.
Also, remember this — while Christie/Tommy can force a tie, they may not want to do this on the off chance that they think Jackson and Holly could protect them moving forward.

After the Veto Ceremony, Nicole and Tommy checked in with one another and confirmed that they are good no matter what — and on the off chance that Cliff goes, Nicole could work with Tommy. Note that this isn’t going to happen most likely, but this is Tommy trying to get assurances in case a campaign works. It benefits Tommy/Christie very much to get Cliff out since he is a threat to win at the end — also, if they save Jess, she may be inclined to work with them, even if Jess said on this past episode that she is targeting Tommy.
We’ll see where the campaign goes over the course of the past several days, but it’s going to be hard to envision scenarios where things change.
