We’ve said this before, but we’ll say it again — it still feels weird in a lot of ways to see so big of a spotlight being put on what’s going on with Brody and Kaitlynn. We know that they aren’t together in real life anymore, and we’ve even seen the photos of Kaitlynn off with Miley Cyrus. Yet, we’re still in a position here where the show has the story that the show has, and maybe in some way there’s a thought that this will bring in more attention.
The video sneak peek below focuses on a lot of the gossip about the relationship that Brody and Kaitlynn has, including past comments suggesting that they are in an open relationship and a whole lot more. We agree with the ultimate sentiment that comes across here that in the end, it doesn’t really matter what the two do in their private lives. What complicates that obviously for a show like this is that so much of your private life plays out in the public. Reconciling these two different things can often prove to be a very challenging thing.

Knowing how the story goes with Brody and Kaitlynn mostly suggests that The Hills: New Beginnings season 2 is going to continue to feature Brody’s private life to a certain degree, especially as tabloid culture runs parallel to what some of these people have going on in their real lives. It impacts them; it’s hard for it not to when people have the ability to read headlines and then make whatever sort of statements and judgments that they want on the other side of it.
