Is Carnival Row renewed for season 2, canceled? Premiere date hopes

Is Carnival Row renewed for a season 2 over at Amazon, or should we expect the series to be canceled? Within this article, we have more speculation on that … plus also when the show could come back with some more new episodes.

Here’s the good news, following of course the other good news of the series arriving early on Amazon Prime tonight — there’s going to be another season! The adult fairy-tale starring Orlando Bloom was granted more new episodes early this summer, a move that Amazon grants for a number of their scripted drama series.

What this early renewal means is that the writers and producers could get started on setting up more scripts early for the next batch of new episodes. As a result of this, it means that there’s not going to be too long of a wait between season 1 and 2. Of course, we mean that in terms of a wait longer than a year/a year and a few months. If we’re stuck spending two years between seasons, we’d be genuinely shocked by it.

We do think that the show will take advantage of all of the time it can between seasons in order to craft a narrative that is stuffed full of all sorts of interesting twists and turns. We’re hoping to see drama, whimsy, intelligence, and a whole lot more as the show progresses onward. We’re sure that there are already some plans that are deep into the works.

Given that season 1 has just premiered, though, we’re going to be waiting for some time to even get a little bit more news when it comes to what lies ahead on the series. Hopefully, at some point over the next little while we’ll have some scoop; in the spring or early summer, we’d expect more in terms of a premiere date. The only advice that we can offer right now is to stay tuned — and, of course, enjoy the first season of the show.
