For most of the episode, we imagined that the challenge here was going to be Big Brother trying to make an interesting episode out of what felt like a pretty predicable week. It was clear for most of the past few days that Nick was going to go. He tried to campaign, but he couldn’t come up with a great way in order to make it happen. So throughout his efforts tonight, we knew much of what was coming on the other side.
Ultimately, the reason why we got a jury house segment this week was simply because there was a lot of time for it — there was no reason to not go there with so little happening in the house. Yet, in hearing Kat speak about how she didn’t value Nick’s game, it was clear that he wasn’t some big jury threat. He could be defeated closer to the end of the game without much of a problem.
We will admit that most of the night, we thought that Prank Week was going to rear its head one more time. We think the speeches were a little bit disappointing, especially since we want to see a little bit more DRAMA. Where was that? Maybe a part of it was people thinking that this wouldn’t count, and they didn’t want to do anything to change things up at the last minute.
In the end, there is no Battle Back or some other twist tonight … but we’ll see where things go from here.
