Manifest season 2 spoilers: The latest new additions
According to a new report coming in via Deadline, here are two people joining the NBC show moving forward in a recurring capacity.
Andrene Ward-Hammond – The Claws actress is set to play Captain Kate Bowers, described as the “newly appointed captain of Michaela’s precinct. From a long line of cops, she’s direct, by the book and doesn’t suffer fools.” Could she be someone who is an ally or adversary of Michaela? That’s a good question, given that there is going to be a certain paranoia about her as a passenger of flight 828. She has abilities that no one can quite understand, and it is that fear of the unknown that makes her an interesting presence moving forward.
Ellen Tamaki – Meanwhile, the Charmed actress is coming on board as Michaela’s new partner named Drea Mikami. What we know about her is that she is a “bright and confident” detective, one who is assigned to her by the new Captain.

Basically, what we learned through this casting news is that Michaela’s life will be very different on the show moving forward. This is a chance for her to find some stability in her life … or at least potentially. Some of this could be dependent on what happens with Jared. There is uncertainty with them, but at the same time, there is uncertainty all around this show. It lives and dies on uncertainty! The second season will feature many of the main characters searching for more answers on the flight, but then also the concept of “death days.” Is life dictated by some sort of odd destiny?
As noted earlier today, Manifest season 2 is going to premiere on NBC this spring. Hopefully, there will be more news on the subject of the series soon.
