NCIS season 17 filming update: Return of the red jumpsuit

NCIS

There are some things that are deeply ingrained into the lore of NCIS, even if you don’t see them all that often. One of these very things is the red jumpsuit. It’s perhaps best known from when Abby wore it, but a number of other characters have stepped into it, as well.

So who is donning it for the sake of an investigation this time around? Think in terms of Bishop and Torres. In a new post on her Instagram Stories, Emily Wickersham seemingly confirmed the return of the jumpsuits in a clip featuring both herself and also Wilmer Valderrama wearing them. (Well, technically Wilmer was only partially wearing his, but the shade of red is signature enough that you know what it is when you at first see it. Wilmer joked that he was “too cool for school” to wear it fully leading up to filming. In reality, we think that he was just doing this because it’s hot outside and all of those layers can get uncomfortable.)

New episodes of NCIS are premiering a little bit later this year on CBS, and it looks as though we’re going to being the CBS show bring everything to the table possible. You probably know already all about the return of Ziva, and then there’s going to be a lot of fun case stuff at the same time. You’re going to see a lot of various characters out in the field, and also potentially in some situations where they are far out of their element. The most important thing work-wise is that we continue to test some of these characters as much as humanly possible.

Of course, for Bishop and Torres, we’re also wondering if we’re eventually pushing to the two of them being together.
