We already know that we are going to see one ghost of “How I Met Your Mother” seasons past returning to the show in Joe Manganiello. Now, we have some other exciting news of you for those who love to support both Neil Patrick Harris and his other half David Burtka: Scooter is returning to the show!
According to a new report from E! News, we are going to see Burtka’s character appear in one of the show’s two upcoming episodes featuring Manganiello, whose character of Brad is going to be facing off in some legal warfare against Marshall and the firm where he now works. As for what he will really be up during this span of time, our guess is that he will probably be chasing after Lily as much as ever (even though there is the whole issue of her being married and having a kid).
Burtka now spends much of his time working as an entertainment reporter, but also appeared alongside Harris last year in “A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas.” Scooter has made a number of appearances over the show’s run, so from that standpoint alone, it is exciting to see him. Of course, the irony here is that maybe he will end up allowing for his off-screen love to get closer than ever to Robin in the process.
Are you thrilled to be seeing more Burtka, and are there any other former guest stars you want to see returning to the world of “How I Met Your Mother” in the future? Sadly, there’s no new episode on tonight thanks to the Presidential debate, but you can view some more scoop about an upcoming episode title here.
