Legacies season 2 spoilers: Who is Maya? Bianca Santos’ character

What’s coming up on Legacies season 2? New episodes are airing this fall, and there are many different characters you’re going to be meeting. That includes Maya, a new character who has the ability to stir things up within the world of Mystic Falls.

So who is she? Her casting notice claims that she is a “sharp-tongued and flirtatious new student at Mystic Falls High, the sister of Ethan and the daughter of Sheriff Mac.” We’ll have a chance to learn more about Maya’s place within this family throughout the upcoming season. We think that there’s a good chance that she’ll get mixed up in all sorts of adventures — and maybe a few romantic hijinks at the same time. With this show, a lot of these things all do have a tendency to blend in together. We imagine that this will be the case here this time around, as well.

As for who is going to be playing the part, Deadline reports that The Fosters alum Bianca Santos will take the part on. She is going to be recurring, meaning that we’ll have a good chance to see her within a good chunk of the upcoming season.

Entering Legacies season 2, one of the key questions is going to be if there is a way in which to ensure that Hope Mikaelson is brought back from the brink, a complicated position that she finds herself in at this particular moment in time where nobody even remembers her. Following that, though, there are some other questions … including whether or not we’re going to see relationships evolve and change at the Salvatore School without her around, and what the world of Legacies will be like when the dust settles. Malivore is also still around in some shape or form, but there could be some other surprises in the story to come.
