The Grey’s Anatomy season 16 premiere is coming onto ABC in just over a month and there is a LOT of drama that the show’s going to have to address. Take, for example, trying to pick up the pieces of what happened at the end of last season. DeLuca is now behind bars and for Meredith Grey, she’s gotta figure out a way to get him out of there. That includes her doing everything that she can to prove that she was the person behind the insurance-fraud scandal.

Of course, Meredith’s place in this scandal doesn’t guarantee that she will find herself behind bars — she’s confident that with her money and her resources, she’s going to be able to paint a picture that will allow her to get out of this situation still in one piece. It may prove difficult, but she still thinks that she will be able to do it. We don’t expect a quick solution to whatever is going on here; it’s going to be something that lingers and we have to go ahead and be prepared for that.
As for what else is coming, be prepared in advance for more emotional aftermath to Teddy having a baby. This is an act that could feel bittersweet for Amelia, who is happy for Owen while at the same time potentially struggling with what happened to their own relationship at the same time. She may be moving forward with Link, but that relationship is still early. It’s too early to know, in fact, that it’s going to work out. It’s just something to think about for the time being.
Grey’s Anatomy will be offering more of what you love this season in general — great emotional storylines, but also ones that reflect the current state of medicine.
