SEAL Team season 3 spoilers: Why is Bravo Team in Serbia?

SEAL Team season 2

There’s a good chance that you’ve heard already that the cast and crew of SEAL Team have spent some time as of late in Serbia, where they are working to craft some exciting stories.

What you may not know at the moment is this: What are they actually doing there? What’s the story going to be all about? We’re happy to have a little more news on that very subject now! According to a new report via TVLine, the upcoming premiere episode is going to be entitled “Welcome to the Refuge: Part 1” (clearly, this is a two-parter), and it’s going to give the team a chance to showcase their strengths and also what a modern-day SEAL Team is capable of doing in 2019. Here is some of what executive producer John Glenn had to say to the aforementioned publication on the subject:

“[Bravo Team] track an elusive bombmaker who’s behind a string of deadly attacks throughout Europe, including bombings at an American military compound in Italy and a market in central London … Seeing the world’s premiere assault force pursue and take down a major terror threat in the center of a thriving European metropolis is an incredible chance to portray the cutting edge of 21st-century special operations.”

Translation? This is going to be exciting! While Jason Hayes and the rest of Bravo is in the country, they’ll be able to utilize their skills but also discretion and care. They need to be able to take out their target without casualties or drawing too much attention to themselves along the way. It feels like they’ll have to move swiftly and carefully to get everything that they want.

What’s also notable is that Mandy will be in Serbia with the team, even though she is no longer working with the Team in the same capacity — a consequence of what happened at the end of season 2. Here’s some more of what Glenn had to say on that subject:

“She’s no longer assigned to Bravo specifically, but has instead been retasked as an analyst and interrogator who services all of DEVGRU (the Naval Special Warfare Development Group). Instead of walking the halls of power in D.C., Season 3 opens up a new world for Mandy — one where she’s out in the field, in the middle of the action, even interrogating sources on target with Bravo.”
