Following tonight’s finale, what do you want the future to hold in terms of a Good Witch season 6 on Hallmark Channel? Within this article, we’re going to offer up a little more insight on that subject!
Let’s start things off now with this: There will be a Good Witch season 6 coming on Hallmark Channel, as this was confirmed earlier this summer. The question that you have to wonder is when it will be back. The simplest answer to that is either next spring or summer. Good Witch season 5 premiered later than most other seasons have in the past, but that may have been a function mostly of the delay to When Calls the Heart. We would imagine that moving into the next new episode, we would start to see some of the schedule revert back to what it once was.
Odds are, you’ll have a chance to get some more news when it comes to Good Witch season 6 in the new year. Hallmark Channel won’t be in all that much of a hurry to get news out there — at least about the season proper. We’ll see what is announced in terms of a possible special a little bit later this year.
We do know already that there is one thing confirmed about season 6 — other than the renewal, of course. For the first time since the beginning, Bailee Madison will not be a part of it. This will be a new era for the show as we see how it navigates some of its relationships and characters. Because many of the other leads are still there, it may still be able to navigate the changes and be just fine. It’s one of those things that we’re still going to be watching out for when season 6 does eventually premiere.
Tonally, the series will still be the same — it’s about magic, sure, but it’s also about love, about hope, and about trying to help others overcome obstacles. Like most other Hallmark Channel shows, showing characters overcoming obstacles and succeeding is at the heart of the story.
