Jersey Shore Family Vacation preview: After the wedding…

Coming up on Thursday’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation, we’re now on the other side of the wedding! Yet, that doesn’t mean that we’re at the end of the road for this season. There are many more events to come — and some are just as important as Mike getting married. Take, Deena welcoming a baby! We’re happy that we got to spend so much time on Mike and getting to see this happy moment in his life … but we have to recognize that there are other cast members and a lot of other stuff going on. There’s a lot of it that is positive, but also a few negative things sprinkled in, as well. Take, for example, more Ronnie drama or JWoww going through a divorce.

The gang kicks it off by heading to Las Vegas. After partying through Sin City, they head back to the East Coast, celebrating milestones in Atlantic City – and settle in for an extended summer stay at the Shore, reliving their glory days together.

The funniest thing about the second part of that synopsis is that it feels like some of these people have “relived their glory days together” on about a hundred different occasions already, mostly because it’s such an easy thing for the show to fall back on. This is where things first started and they know that a big part of the fun of this series is nostalgia. That’s why it has survived for so long and become an overall staple of the MTV schedule.

We know that the hardest part for Mike is still coming, given that he will be going to prison and spending a lot of time there. We know that he was filmed leading up to that moment and we’re sure that the camera crews are going to be with him shortly after his release. It’s a hard time for anyone to go through, but reality TV is about that very thing: Reality. We imagine the producers realize that they aren’t going to have many more opportunities to showcase something like this.
