‘Mad Men’ season 6 spoilers: Christina Hendricks gets the first script

As you may have heard late last week, “Mad Men” is reportedly kicking off filming for season 6 at this very moment with Jon Hamm and Jessica Pare in Hawaii. (Sorry, Megan haters; she’s back.) Now, we have a few more details coming in courtesy of a recent Christina Hendricks sighting. Of course, don’t start foaming at the mouth yet; this is still “Mad Men,” and there is not going to be much in the way of story that is spoilers that are shared throughout the entire filming process.

So what do we have instead? Basically, it’s just a reminder that these actors have to be on their game at all times during the filming process; after all, they have only received their scripts (per People Magazine) a few days before the shooting of a particular episode happens:

“Christina was overheard saying that she is back to work on the set of Mad Men next week and just received the script for the first episode the night before … She’s excited to see what happens to her character this season. Christina’s grown to love Joan over the years and as a fan of the character, she only wants good things to happen to her.”

Granted, Joan has not always been the easiest character to sympathize with thanks to her actions with Roger early on in the season, and her decision to sleep with a client in order to take an ownership stake in SCDP was indeed controversial. However, she is easily one of the more compelling characters to watch, in particular when it comes to her friendship with Don Draper as one of the few women in his life who he does not see as someone to sleep with.
