Suits season 9 episode 6 preview: Can Harvey save Samantha’s job?

Moving into Suits season 9 episode 6, it’s going to be crystal clear that Samantha Wheeler’s job is in jeopardy. How else can you take what happened over the course of tonight’s installment? Faye fired her, and unless Harvey Specter pulls a rabbit out of his hat, there aren’t many other tricks that can save her.

By no means do we think that Harvey loved what Samantha did – creating some evidence that would enable Mike to get screwed over on his case back in New York City. Yet, she’s still a colleague and he’ll fight to protect her just like he will fight to protect Mike. It’s also hardly as though Harvey has never broken the rules before. He is the master of breaking the rules! This upcoming episode is just about trying to find a way to justify it, and making sure that Samantha is able to move forward in her career.

Harvey makes a play to get Samantha’s job back. Katrina faces off against an old friend.

What can Harvey really do? He can try to find a way to falsify information himself to give Samantha more credibility, but it’s going to be tough since Faye Richardson heard him talk with Samantha tonight. She knows everything that happened already! He just needs to be careful, given that he could find himself without a job as well, if he screws this up.

As for what is happening with Katrina and her “old friend,” we wouldn’t be shocked if this leads to the return of Brian. It only makes sense that right when she tries to move forward with her life and take care of herself, the person she had so many feelings for is back. Remember that Katrina also deleted Brian’s voicemail, and it’s possible that he was giving her a warning about what was coming and she deleted it, thinking of it as a personal victory and missing out on something important.
