The Hills: New Beginnings episode 9 preview: Vow renewal planning!
On tonight’s new episode, we had a chance to see Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt decide that after ten years of marriage, there are some considerations towards having another ceremony. That means more fun, more romance, and also an extremely expensive ring. Also, it sounds like Heidi is plotting to perform her new song at the ceremony, which feels a little bit like one of the most predictable things that could ever happen on a reality television show.
Will we get to see the full ceremony play out next week? That’s not entirely clear based on the promo, but we do think that we’ll have a chance to see more of the planning process. There’s no immediate need to rush anything along, given that there are SO many things going on with the show right now. Take, for example, the emergence of Ryan Cabrera on the show tonight and also getting a chance to see the development of where some of the other cast members are in their lives.
Oh, and be prepared for shouting matches next week — plenty of shouting matches, in fact. It’s just naturally ingrained in this show overall. There are going to be messy moments and just because some of these people are older, that doesn’t mean that they are boring by any means. Some of the decisions that they’re pondering over are just a little bit different. Take, for example, questions as to whether or not Heidi and Spencer will expand their family. Maybe that will transpire at some point down the road, but it doesn’t feel like after tonight’s episode that anything is going to be rushed into in the near future.
