The Walking Dead spin-off gets Nico Tortorella; is he leaving Younger?
According to a report from Deadline, Nico Tortorella is set to appear on the AMC series as Felix, described as “an honorable man of his word who isn’t afraid to fight for others’ safety and acceptance.” This new series is set to focus on the younger generation who grew up in the zombie apocalypse and is expected to both look and feel very different from anything we’ve seen to date.
For those who are concerned as to what things means for the future of Josh on Younger, don’t get too worried — this character will continue to be a part of the already-renewed seventh season. Beyond that, the future is a little more sketchy … but that’s also because the future for Younger itself is rather sketchy. It remains still to be seen if the show will be renewed for an eighth season, and given how many series do tend to wrap themselves up at around seven, we have to prepare ourselves for that possibility now.
Regardless of the future of Younger, this casting is great news for Nico since it offers up a chance to take part in something that both looks and feels very different than anything else that he’s been a part of as of late. This is a franchise that has quite the fanbase out there and while there’s no guarantee it will be a ratings smash, there should at least be interest … even if the enthusiasm for all things Walking Dead in general has waned.
